SY-T008

SY-T008 is a phosphorus-nitrogen type flame retardant. It is halogen-free, non-toxic and antimony-free, with high flame retardant efficiency.

It can completely replace antimony trioxide (Sb2O3 ≥ 99.5%) in PU solvent-free, PVC leather and microfiber leather flame-retardant applications, meeting the requirements of cost reduction, lower smoke density and heat aging resistance. It has an anti-dripping effect that effectively improves the high-temperature melt dripping phenomenon during combustion.

Flame-Retardant Mechanism

During combustion, an expanded, dense and firm char layer forms on the substrate surface, effectively blocking heat transfer to the substrate and cutting off oxygen diffusion into the polymer. Meanwhile, the material efficiently captures free radicals in the combustion chain reaction, generating relatively inert substances, lowering combustion energy release and suppressing sustained burning of the substrate.

PVC formula example: PVC 100, DPHP plasticizer 100, SY-T008 4, calcium-zinc stabilizer 3 (PHR). PU formula example: PU 100, SY-T008 10 (PHR).

Applications

Widely used in soft polymer products with strict requirements for flame retardancy, environmental friendliness and material cost. Suitable for PU solvent-free, PVC leather and microfiber leather flame retardancy, especially in automotive interior leather.
